	Reviewed by: Bjørnar Bevolden, November 2002 This is Finnish band Afterworld's second CD and already I had great expectations concerning this CD. Musically, there is nothing new since their last album. This is still up-tempo power metal and the dark, moody feeling is still present. The guitarists do a good job, pulling off crispy riffs and good dual solos. The mid-ranged vocals is pretty unusual for this kind of music, almost melancholic sounding. The band performance is very good and I have nothing to complain about there. On the other hand, the songs are not as even as on the debut. You will find excellent, catchy songs here too, but overall the songs do not grab me as on the first CD. Some songs are just too anonymous. Take the Abba cover of "Money Money" for example. This version just does not cut it. The production is good, but perhaps the vocals could be more up front in the mix. This is by no means a poor CD, not at all. In fact I like it, but I still feel the debut was stronger. I suggest you get the debut first, if you like that one, you will probably like this one as well.
