This is the Italian band Arachnes second full-blown album, following their debut The Goddess Temple and their EP Metamorphosis.

Arachnes play an appealing mix of melodic metal and power metal spiced up with symphonic and progressive elements. The instrumentation is excellent and especially the guitar work is blistering. The mid-to-high ranged vocalist does a very good job as well. The production is absolutely brilliant coming off powerful and crystal clear. The song writing has improved drastically since the debut and overall the final product is very impressive. The band has clearly focused on variety, which separates them from other Italian bands of the genre and they benefit from this.

Sadly there has not been much buzz around this release giving it the credit it deserves. If you are into bands like Labyrinth, Secret Sphere, Sigma, et al. this is a blind purchase. Hopefully this band will get the recognition they truly deserve. Highly recommended!
