Obviously influenced by Marillion - vocalist Dino Carlo Brassea even at times sounds like Steve Hogarth (which I've observed before). There is a certain unintended amusement in the lyrics. It seems biased to say so, but there is often awkwardness and misinterpretation in lyrics translated to English or written in English by one for whom it is not a first language. Because languages have their own idioms, when translated, they either lose their meaning or take on an unintended meaning. It may be for this reason that I found their latest Angels And Demons a more mature release. There is a certain immaturity here in the lyrics, that I think is more attributable to the translation factor than anything else.

Lyrics aside (which work fine when heard versus read), this is a very listenable neo-progressive release. It isn't great, though the music is well played - there are many Marillion-ism, especially in the keys, harking back to '82-83. But there are other influences in evidence here, all leading back to 70's prog - a piano intro to the instrumental track "Athens" made me think of Keith Emerson, say Tarkus without the percussiveness. The guitar lines, though, give the track an entirely different character.

This is interesting to listen to as a slice of Mexican progressive circa 1994. The instrumentals and instrumental sections of the vocal tracks work best.
