	Reviewed by: Bjørnar Bevolden, November 2002 This is ex-Royal Hunt singer DC Cooper's first solo CD. This guy has really made a name the last years due to the successes of Royal Hunt and his contribution on some compilation discs such as The Explorer's Club. But most of all, DC has been getting recognition because of his vocal talents which are unquestionable. This CD was released a while ago but as I hadn't yet reviewed this glorious CD and InsideOut America being so nice to send me promos it's about time to throw some light on this CD. Cooper has teamed up with Alfred Koffler (g), Dennis Ward (b), and Kosta Zafiriou (d) - all of Pink Cream 69 fame, as well as guitarist Tore Østby (Conception, Ark) and keyboardist Günter Werno from Vanden Plas. So tell me, with this line-up, can anything really go wrong? Of course not. What we get here is an awesome slice of pure melodic metal at it's very best. When opener "Dream" kicks in you already know that you are in for a winner. Besides the talents of the individuals, this CD has it all. Huge, powerful guitars, superb melodic solos, soaring, powerful vocals, great keys, fat bass and pounding drums. The songs are possessing superb memorable and accessible melody-lines and choruses. The arrangements and songwriting are very good, and on top of that, a top notch production with depth and crispness. Of the 12 songs offered, only a couple fall through as not as good as the other songs. These songs are not bad in any way. But compared to the other killer songs, they can't reach the same level of excellence. Fans of these guys respective bands and the melodic heavy genre should not be without this CD. This is easily a masterpiece and one of the best CDs of 99. A true gem!
