Reviewed by: Davide Guidone, November 2003 Words Collide is the new album by Michael Harris, a stunning guitarist, once again on Lion Music. This release shows us his perpetual journey in his musical approach. In fact, this album is the first one where we can find Michael Harris as a singer, too. Plus, there is a harder edged sound in every part of the record; sometimes there is a metal influence. However in each song you can find a lot of variety and the album itself varies a lot. Here we can find a lot of songs and less improvisation and technique. So the fusion and prog world is put apart, while the catchier side is in evidence. Moreover he is the singer on this disc. His voice is not very high, but he has a good taste for melody. So Word Collide is a good album. That’s true.
