This is a disc I'm glad to have, yet I still feel the need to skip a few songs. The first two songs are really good songs with the latter day Fates sound, the third and fourth songs can be a little annoying, and without these two, I would enjoy this disc a lot more. These two songs lack a real melody, but I'm not going to focus on these. I think everyone who enjoys a good "slow" song should hear "Leaves" for it is has a great bass sound, and seems to me one of the bands better songs, musically speaking - whether you like only heavy stuff or not. The rest of the album is great too. It takes a few listens for it to sink in, but with the exception of a couple songs, this CD is a pleasure to listen to.

The Design

The cover concept of this album is a good one, though it leaves a lot of questions. It's a beachfront scene with two large planets in the sky, one of which is on fire. Pretty cool concept, would you say? The questions I want to ask is "is that supposed to Earth, or are we on Earth?" and "What is the name of the album?" I've had this for a couple weeks and just noticed the title engraved in the sand along the beach. A little hidden, may not matter when this is their only CD, but say ten years from now somebody may be looking for this by title.
