This release in fact is a "hybrid" CD, as it consists simultaneously of an audio CD and a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM part contains loads of files that give a view of the world [in which] Heretic finds itself at ease. To give you an idea, there's a subdirectory for Exposé which in itself holds 67 files. There's one on Eurock which contains 74 files and then there's also another subdirectory which, in itself, holds no fewer than 96 different soundfiles! Apart from loads of documentation, pictures, and midi files you also get some video footage recorded during the making of Yayoi Dream and Drugging for M at the Atelier Infortecture in Kyoto in August '96. Certainly a nice way to use this medium.

The second part of the release is an audio track called "Yayoi Dream" that lasts for more than 36 minutes! It's a heavy piece of avant-garde that was composed between 1990 and 1996 using samplers, electronic percussion and computer programs. By using the bouzouki the music is coloured in an ethnic way, whilst the rest of the material is a melting-pot of King Crimson, Heldon and Vangelis during his Beaubourg-period. Certainly not an easy piece of music to digest!
