This is a 4-song demo and I believe that the band is from Salt Lake City, Utah. [They are - ed.] Since it is a demo I won't get into the production. They are a straight ahead power metal band and certainly remind me of what old Sanctuary might sound like if they crashed into Vicious Rumors. The lineup consists of twin guitars / bass / drums / vocals. In the singer I hear many shades of early Warrel Dane from the Refuge Denied era. He is a melodic singer, with a very high range if need be. Anyone into early Sanctuary will kill for this stuff if the band can lay down a heavy, great sounding bunch of tunes on a disc. Anything less than a great sound will kill it for headbangers who won't settle for great sound nowadays. Upon first listen you'd swear it was Sanctuary ...... good stuff, whether or not the band can make a disc that headbangers can sink their teeth into remains to be seen. Traditional, early power metal well done.
