With background from Finnish bands like Profane Omen and Ancient Misery comes this talented five-piece band, Misery Inc. Although founded back in 2001 this is in fact their second demo EP, following Chains from late 2001.

Misery Inc. play hard hitting melodic metal bordering to power metal. The in-your-face guitar work by Janne and Teemu are impressive, and backed up a steady rhythm section and Jukkis' somewhat aggressive vocal tone, Misery Inc definitely have something going for them. They mix poppy melody-lines with dark and heavy moods. Imagine a mix of Sonata Artica, Rage and To-Die-For. The songwriting and musicianship is very good and the songs are easily accessible, catchy and equally strong.

The production by Nino Lauranne, of Thunderstone-fame, is also rather impressive, giving the demo a powerful and well balanced sound.

I heard rumors that the first demo was just as good as this one, so for me there is no question if they will get signed, the question is when? Misery Inc. is absolutely a band worth checking out and I hope to hear more from them in the future. On a final note, the demo can be purchased from their website. Keep up the great work guys!
