Just when I thought they were gone, ex-Accept and Victory guitar-hero Hermann Frank and Moon'Doc return with a new album, their third. Seeing Chris Bay (v) joining Freedom Call I thought Moon'Doc were defunct, but fortunately I was wrong.

Although new vocalist Jürgen Wulfes is no Chris Bay, he has a pretty decent low-to-mid ranged voice and does a good job delivering the vocals on this album. Frank, meanwhile, is in fine form providing killer hooks and solos. The drummer and bassist do a great job as well. This is some seriously catchy and bombastic melodic metal we are offered here. Actually, some songs could be categorised as melodic power metal. Although about three songs fall into the average category, most songs maintain a very high quality and really rock big time!

The production is solid, the melody lines and choruses likewise, and I bet fans of traditional riff- heavy melodic metal will most definitely enjoy this one. This is probably the best Moon'Doc disc to date. I take away half a point for the average songs, but don't let those songs prevent you for getting this CD, as the good songs are REALLY good. Worth checking out!
