I'm very happy to see the prosperity of new Finnish quality bands lately. Bands like Nightwish, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Sentenced, Conquest, Afterworld, and Kenziner, et al., are all quality bands of international standard and I'm happy to welcome another quality Finnish band, Myon. As far as I know, Heaven's Garden is their debut album and this is also the album that got them a deal with Noise Records.

Myon offer slightly progressive melodic metal or melodic rock if you want. The songs are guitar dominated with very present keys and good mid-to high- ranged vocals. The vocal-lines and choruses are very melodic and accessible, and the songs are catchy and easy to like. Although not overly progressive, the band seem to focus on the melodies, which indeed are very good. The songwriting and arrangements are very professional. The production is good and they sound tight and compact. If you like melodic metal with a progressive edge, with catchy melodies and some slow evocative parts, this is absolutely worth the money.

I liked this album a lot and have no problem seeing why they were signed by Noise. Well worth getting!
