CD/DVD Releases: Symphorce Guitarist To Release Solo Album

Guitarist C?dric "Cede" Dupont (Symphorce, Downspirit, Freedom Call) will release an instrumental solo album, Melodrama, in June.

A wordwide distribution deal has yet to be announced. However, it is likely that the CD will be available as a digipack for online orders and as a download via the usual digital music providers.

Commented Dupont: "I'm still in shock about my endless creativity. This stuff is awesome, really. Can't wait to let you hear and get to know what you think about it. So far I can tell you that it's not the typical shredder instrumental stuff, it's more about a musical-sound-landscape where my guitar finds its way to travel the world."

Symphorce, which also features in its ranks guitarist singer Andy B. Franck (Brainstorm), recently inked a deal with AFM Records. The band is currently working on a new studio album for a tentative late August release.

Symphorce's last CD, Become Death, was released in February 2007 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at the House Of Music Studios in Winterbach (near Stuttgart), Germany with producer Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69). Mastering duties were handled by Achim K?hler (Brainstorm).
