The first of two new releases from Nightmare Records for you to ear is Vangough - Kingdom Of Ruin, which is due out October 25.

Vangough have taken their conceptual visions yet another step with their third album, the grandiose Kingdom Of Ruin. A story of a Rabbit Kingdom, by a man who is stepping through the veil of two realities. Through the course of the story he begins to realize his link to this other world and has to come to a difficult decision regarding his role in it. Musically influenced by classic prog rock acts like ELP, King Crimson & Genesis to modern day artists Pain of Salvation, Flower Kings and metal bands Evergrey, Mastodon, Pantera! The band is committed to drawing listeners into melodies then upending the tea table, like a contemporary Alice In Wonderland story, they spit fiery, acid drenching dreams that fill your ears with a violet sunrise of melodic madness.

Just out this past week (October 11) is Myrath's Tales Of The Sands. Myrath’s distinctive metal style is blended with oriental rhythms, scales and harmonies, theiroverflow of innovation and feeling, creates songs so touching, they take the fan to an imaginary universe of light where the sun of the east literally bursts in to their ears creating a visual, sonic display. Add to this the powerful, splendid vocals of Zaher Zorgatti irradiating the entire album with his huge presence, makes this much more than an average metal release.

Never before has such a singer integrated so brilliantly and elegantly quarter step vocal lines and the bands absolutely unique sound bursting with oriental / middle eastern energy that is their special sound.

And, in case you missed 'em, cuz we sure did, Nightmare has also recently released or announced the release of:

Anubis Gate - Anubis Gate (released September 13): Stylistically Anubis Gate is conglomeration of the classic 80’s heavy metal, a more epic 90’s ambience and a dark progressiveness of our days. You could describe is as metal with beautiful soundscapes, cool riffing, and a clear and powerful vocal performance. Musical inspirations for Anubis Gate are such acts as Queensryche, Iron Maiden, Lord Bane, Tad Morose, Iced Earth, Crimson Glory, Fates Warning, King Crimson, Genesis & Savatage, but really Anubis Gate is in a niche of themselves.

Halcyon Way - IndoctriNation (October 25, 2011): The new CD, IndoctriNation is the sequel to Building The Towers and continues the sound and theme of that album. It features 5 brand new original tracks, a cover of "Stand Up" by Steel Dragon, a radio edit of "The Age Of Betrayal," and an industrial remix of "The System." Aurally combining the heaviness of bands like Testament, the technical prowess of Dream Theater, the power metallic attitude of Evergrey and soaring vocal melodies, Halcyon Way will leave you awestricken by their punishing riffs and unforgettable hooks.

Divine Ascension - As The Truth Appears (October 11, 2011): Divine Ascension are sure to delight legions of symphonic and progressive metal and female-fronted band fans alike with their debut, As The Truth Appears. Both lyrically and musically, their primordial good and evil theme works extremely well with Jennifer's powerfully resplendent and virtuous tone. Undoubtedly talented enough to take on the world stage. Australia's Divine Ascension's overall fusion and exhibition is nothing short of divine.
