Festival News: HRH Prog V Set For March 16 - 19, 2017

The fifth edition of HRH Prog is scheduled for March 16 - 19, 2017 at Camp HRH (Hafan & M&ocaret;r) in Pwllheli, North Wales. This year's lineup includes IQ, Pendragon, Karnataka, The Enid, Gong, Curved Air, The Strawbs and many more.

In a recent (May 20) Facebook post, the following update was shared: "Well then, what a lineup that is folks, all voted by you, curated and booked by us ... we are practically sold out now on Royalty & VIP accommodation packages, and as tradition has it - we are running a competition to win the last Royalty room... we also have 20 sets of weekend passes for our runners up...

"The Big News for 2017," the organizers note on the official website, "is HRH prog will be taking over the whole site and adding in a second arena. All arenas are going to be kitted out with some impressive seating 7 facilities, not to mention and outside Ski Bar to connect both Arenas over a unique concourse Plaza even with its own Starbucks & grazing eateries.

"As we increase the size of the site to probably the biggest residential Prog gathering on the Planet, we will also be adding another hoarde of bands to fill up the second arena, taking it to an impressive 35 acts over the weekend.

"Starting on the evening of Thursday March 16, a hand-picked selection of live appearances and The Great Big HRH Prog Quiz will get you warmed up for the next three days which begin in earnest at midday on Friday 17th. HRH Prog 5’s arenas feature our state-of-the-art sound and lighting production in warm, welcoming rooms with lots of comfortable seating, food stations and well-stocked round-the-clock bars. Combine that with 35 brilliant acts plus signings, unplugged sessions, After Party, psychedelic entertainment and other fringe activities -- all to be announced shortly -- this will be a prog event like no other.
