Two Side Moon/SLW promotions are pleased to be working alongside with Nightmare Records for their new releases Alkemyst - Through Painful Lanes, Memoria - Memoria, Perspective X IV - Shadow Of Doubt, and Scelerata - Skeletons Domination and ProgRock Records' releases Forgotten Suns - Innergy, Metamorphosis - Dark, and Shadow's Mignon - Midnight Sky Masquerade.

Alkemyst - Through Painful Lanes: Combining the technical aspects of Dragonforce, Symphony X, Spiral Architect and Darkwater, and power aspects of Kamelot, Nightwish and Iced Earth, this French band was born ten years ago in the Alps. Alkemyst worked hard and have strove in the obscurity of their rehearsal room to build their melodic fast paced progressive metal to it?s maturity. Noticed by professionals from their demos the band eventually signed an agreement with Nuclear Blast for their first album.

A steady lineup is a strength of the band, they've not had a lineup change since 2000. Ramon Messina (vocals, ex-Secret Sphere), Arnaud Gorbaty (drums, Eternal Flight), Denis Mellion (bass), Arnaud M?nard (guitar), and S?verin Bonneville (guitar).

Alkemyst now returns with their new opus Through Painful Lanes on Nightmare Records. This new recording is the outcome of three years of dedication to the love of music making, mixed flawlessly to achieve perfection.

The band took their time producing this album themselves to their own highest standards and represents perfection in their eyes. They enjoyed working at Taurus Studio in Geneva, Switzerland known for their work with (Sybreed, Etna, Rated X). They Ask that you take the time now and listen and let the music do the talking!

Memoria - Memoria: Ladies and Gentlemen of the Metal world...????We are proud to announce the signing of a new metal force Memoira, a young female fronted Finnish band playing what we would call "epic melancholic metal that has progressive and gothic orchestral parts. Carrying on in the fashon of bands such as Nightwish, Epica, Kamelot, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil.

Memoira is known for its strong melancholic melodies and heavy guitar walls, and began its journey in the beginning of 2007, originally formed by the two guitarists Jani Haanp?? and Marko Heurlin in 2001. They gathered together a group of various musicians who had played in different bands. Memoira went to studio to work on first album in the end of 2007 and in the beginning of 2008 started to work with Lance King (known for best for his work as vocalist of Balance Of Power, Pyramaze and most recently of Avian and Krucible) as an executive producer naturally leading to their new full length debut self-titled release with Lance's label Nightmare records.

Perspective X IV - Shadow Of Doubt: In the summer of 1998, three long time friends from Middletown, Ohio set out to perpetuate a musical style pioneered by such bands as Rush, Yes, and Porcupine Tree, and other inspirational progressive rock artists under the moniker of Perspective. Combining the great classic synth sounds, and complex songs yet memorable melodies with more current production Perspective X IV (featuring Rod Middleton on guitars, midi pedals, and vocals; Chris Matthews on bass, keyboards, midi pedals, Moog Taurus pedals, and vocals; and Ben Burton on drums, percussion, and vocals) is sure to please old school progressive rock-fans in the highest order.

Writing began shortly thereafter on the band's first album entitled Coming Into Focus. This was recorded in 1999 at On-Line Studio in Cincinnati, and was praised highly, garnering 14 out of 16 stars in the spring/summer 2000 issue of Progression Magazine (issue 35). The disc also received countless downloads over the then extremely popular mp3.com.

The follow up release Progressions combined remastered tracks from Coming Into Focus in addition to new tracks. This disk was also received very well. The band then recorded an entire CD of new material in hopes of drawing label interest, exciting Lance King, owner of Nightmare Records, bringing back the nostalgia for the bands he loved in his 70s youth of prog, like Rush, Kansas, and Yes. Released on Nightmare on July 22nd, 2008, Shadow Of Doubt is sure to garner a large smile from all fans of 70s & 80s Prog Rock.

Scelerata - Skeletons Domination: This Scelerata, while slowing down for a few songs, keeps its energy and pace with their last offering, yet brings much more well crafted Epic Metal Power soundscapes to waiting ears. Mastered by Denis Ward in Germany, this Brazilian sensation, is poised to climb the metal ladder and compete with the GIANTS of the metal world. For Fans of Masterplan, Helloween, Gamma Ray and Angra.

After Scelerata had their very first album released worldwide and completely sold out its 1st pressing in Brasil within 2 months of its release, the band toured Brasil in a 20 gig/2 months tour, being special guests of Edguy on their Rocket Ride Tour and special guest of Roy Z on his Brazilian solo tour in 2006! Scelerata also shared stages with Gamma Ray, Masterplan, Angra and Deep Purple in an amazing evening with 9,000 fans attendance to the concert! Recorded in Brasil, mixed and mastered by the great producer Charlie Bauerfeind (Helloween, Saxon etc) in Germany, with an amazing 10-minute long epic song, superb vocals, dazzling guitars, fast double basses and brilliant bass execution! A promo video clip is for "Enemy Within" will be launched too! MySpace site.

Forgotten Suns - Innergy: The band hails from Portugal (Lisboa) and their path can be divided in two distinct directions. From the original quintet there's only two remaining members ? guitar player Ricardo Falc?o and keyboard wizard Miguel Valadares. The musical chemistry between them sets the foundations of what Forgotten Suns is all about ? exquisite song writing level melted with the inner technical demands that progressive music is usually flavored.

The first half of their biography yielded two albums ? Fiction Edge (2000) and Snooze (2004) who were early sons born out of the band's musical growth in an adverse context. Even though yet with a blatantly lack of production, those albums were highly appreciated by the media and especially in the prog community by their strong melodic approach and song writing.

Those albums revealed the strong influence of their musical roots mostly based in symphonic rock groups like Pink Floyd, Marillion or Rush and were albums that were written without having a full time drummer in the same room, so the songs naturally became less complex and more light which were perfect for the singing of ex-singer Linx.

The first big breakthrough was the arrival of drummer J.C Samora in March 2003, who still participated in the final writings of Snooze and also some time ahead the joining of Nuno Correia on bass who brought more cohesion and sense of aesthetic to the band's already prolific state of play.

During this period the band shared the stage and did openings with Pain of Salvation, Flower Kings and Fish.

From that moment on the band's members decided to take Forgotten Suns into a never ending ascending spiral of success and make it all happen through a new musical universe, wider and more expanded, full of new concepts and without musical boundaries.

From that desire the making of a new album was scheduled and there were no easy ways to make it happen by itself alone. This new state of mind led to the split with the previous singer and there were no definitive options available until the band came to find the vibrant voice of actual lead singer Nio during the recordings of the new album ? Innergy.

Metamorphosis - Dark: Metamorphosis is a Swiss music project, the brainchild of Jean-Pierre Schenk, who is the composer of their four albums. Their first project After All These Years was released in November 2002. What was intended to be "just" a personal project for fun and for close friends became soon a kind of small revelation in the world of progressive music. The CD was met with great enthusiasm around the world. All those desperately waiting for a new release by Pink Floyd saw in the project a kind of "continuation" of the mythic band, but never a plagiarism. Nobody Cares was released in November 2003. It marked a huge progression as compared with After All These Years, so much for the music as for the sound. Metamorphosis had now found a real unity. On both albums, as on the third to come, Giovanni Esposito played all the guitars and helped giving the memorable "Pink Floyd sound" to the music. Then All Was Silent, a concept album, was released in 2005. It introduced for the first time a second guitar player, Olivier Guenat, who played the solo on the first title, and as for the two other albums, got impressive critics. This was now time for a break. Metamorphosis had now a name in the small world of Prog, but had to find a real identity. J-P Schenk started working on the new album in summer 2005, but instead of composing 8-9 songs and recording them, he wrote about 20 titles, from which he finally chose 8. This process lasted until the end of 2007. Esposito being very busy with his own projects, Schenk worked this time with Olivier Guenat, who plays all the guitars on 3 of the songs, and Roger Burri on the other 5 ones. This gives a real astounding and incredibly powerful album, called Dark. Metamorphosis is still Metamorphosis, but with a new dimension.

Shadow's Mignon - Midnight Sky Masquerade: Henning Pauly is known for a wide variety of albums, but most notably for his releases with Frameshift where he could work with singers James LaBrie (Dream Theater) on the first album and Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row) on the second. He released two albums with the prog metal band Chain, where he first worked with Michael Sadler of Saga fame. Juan Roos already lend his amazing pipes to Henning's music on Credit Where Credit Is Due (the second Henning Pauly titled release after 13 Days), which explored the realm of Nu-Metal and industrial sounds. Greatest Hits from The Anthologies was Henning's journey into punk. Babysteps was his rock opera which featured Jody Ashworth (Trans Siberian Orchestra), James LaBrie and Michael Sadler. Henning also lends his talents to other artists as a producer and co-writer like on Edward Heppenstall's Parts That Hate Me and Matt Cash's country album Western Country. More than wanting to be rich and famous, Henning's goal is to laern new things by doing them and that must be the reason why every new CD is an exploration of a different aspect of modern music, but no matter what style he writes in, his signature always shines through and fans of his music enjoy just that.
