In recent months, Musea Records has announced the release or distribution of a plethora of titles. In the progressive rock realm, there's Interpose+, whose Memories In The Wind was released in November. In the press release, Musea write: "Interpose+ could well be the new sensation, as far as Japanese Progressive Rock is concerned. Its musicians have played together at regular intervals since the Eighties, but they eventually released their first collective opus in 2005, as a joint-venture between the Poseidon and Musea labels. This quintet plays a mainly instrumental music, enhanced by the (Japanese) vocals of the charming Sayuri Aruga. The contribution of the violinist Akihisa Tsuboy as well as that of his partner from KBB, Dani, are also noteworthy.

The eponymous album presents a most symphonic Progressive jazz-rock highlighting the virtuosity of guitarist Kenji Tanaka. These five long pieces are in a vein close to U.K., being even closer to other Japanese bands such as Outer Limits or Pageant. The band took particular care of the melodies, both subtle and evocative. A bright performance! Two years later, the release of Interpose+'s second album shouldn't leave you indifferent. The lyrics now take on an important part in the band's music, still allowing the instrumentalists to shine, however. In many ways, this group tends to be the Nippon Echolyn, displaying the same melodic sense and the same energy,"

Carpe Diem - Circonvolutions: "With this new album Circonvolutions, Carpe Diem draws its strength from the essence of progressive music. This third opus is on the borders of Rock, Classic and Jazz and synthesizes these various musical influences to get the unique sound of Carpe Diem. Fifty minutes of original music where the instrumental convolutions develop around strong and remarkably chiseled rhythmic. Short vocal parts harmonize at long on current topics and take us into the dream world of the group. The style of the new Carpe Diem reserves both, aesthetic and musical surprises of all beauties. No doubt Circonvolutions will remain, in time, one of the most successful of the French progressive music of the 21st century."

Also out in November from Musea: Magnesis - La Dame De Braise and a sextet of releases from Philippe Cauvin -- Jordan Cauvin - Guitarvision; Philippe Cauvin Except - Philippe Cauvin Except, with Pascale Martinez and Lulu Bret; Philippe Cauvin Groupe - Philippe Cauvin Groupe, with Olivier Grall, Lauren Millepied and Marc Zerguine; Philippe Cauvin - Des Mots Sur Des Notes; Philippe Cauvin - Nu and Philippe Cauvin - Fr&ocaret;lements.
