Oblivion Sun and Paul Reed Smith Band will make their first New York City appearance at the Knitting Factory on November 7, 2007 in promotion of their recent self-titled release available on MVD Audio.

Oblivion Sun features the compositional and performance skills of five musicians who are at ease with complex musical structures as well as frequent improvisations. The band members are Stan Whitaker on guitar and vocals, Frank Wyatt on keyboards and sax, Bill Plummer on keyboards, Chris Mack on drums, and Dave DeMarco on bass. Oblivion Sun creates a powerful, dynamic sound that aims to satisfy fans of all music. The band ignores the boundaries that the conventional music industry uses to limit the creative spirit. This freedom is evident in every performance.

The Paul Reed Smith Band is guitar maven Paul Reed Smith's international touring band, showcasing the dynamic talents of seasoned, high-caliber musicians. With bassist Gary Grainger --whose seamless approach to virtually any style of music makes him one of the most sought after bass players in the world -- guitarist Michael Ault, the showmanship of vocalist Derek St. Holmes, and the rhythms of drummer Greg Grainger -- one of the best session drummers in the music business today --the Paul Reed Smith Band performs and records original rock and covers the classics as well. The band has performed throughout the U.S. at music industry events, tradeshows, music stores, and nightclubs for customers, artists, music industry peers, and diehard fans, in addition to playing for audiences in Canada, Japan, China, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and England.

Happy The Man was an American progressive rock band primarily from the 1970s specializing in virtuoso instrumental tracks within complex time signatures. The group formed in 1972 and recorded two albums, after which keyboardist Kit Watkins decided to leave the band to join Camel. The group put together their unreleased material and released a "final" album in 1983.

The band continued to be a cult favorite in progressive rock circles even after they broke up. In 2000, the group rejoined with David Rosenthal on keyboards, and they released a new album in 2004. Whitaker and Wyatt have released another album, Pedal Giant Animals since the Muse Awakens, and have formed a new band, Oblivion Sun.
