KillZone Records, a notable indie label that specializes in metal music, signed Dendura, the female-fronted, Egyptian-inspired, progressive metal band with belly dancers (Got all that?), to a one-album deal on their label. Nightmare Records will also distribute New Life, Dendura?s self-released, debut album.

"Dendura is a perfect fit for KillZone because they stand out from the norm in terms of talent, ability and marketability,? said Stuart Banks, president of KillZone Records. "They present an unforgettable approach to progressive metal that builds and weaves dark themes with the allure of sensual mystery. Their music calls from a past that touches both the primal and inquisitive nature of our souls. They combine powerful, heavy music that drives like the shifting sands, carrying vocals like rising smoke and invoking the ghosts of a land and time long passed, but never forgotten."

KillZone Recording artist DenduraKillZone Records is a strong indie label for metal and extreme music bands. The company plans to release the next Dendura album later this year and the band is currently discussing the project with a Grammy-winning producer.

Nightmare Records also inked a distribution deal with the band for New Life, Dendura's debut album. Nightmare is a well-known label/distributor for metal bands.

Although Dendura is currently hibernating while they write the new album and a film score, 2007 was a big year for the band. They played high-profile concerts including a show with Edguy who did some 2007 dates in Germany with Aerosmith.

In addition, "Symphony", a track from New Life, appeared on the US ProgPower 2007 compilation given to everyone who attended the sold-out, national festival in Atlanta starring After Forever and Sonata Arctica.

Dendura also licensed music for several film and TV projects including a special metal version of "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" that was the theme song for the 2007 Comedy Central cartoon Monsters Ballz.
