Finnish melodic metal band Tacere and singer Helena Haaparanta have gone their separate ways. Helena is not a part of Tacere anymore due to personal reasons that have nothing to do with the band itself or its music. Because of this, Tacere is now looking for a new female singer to fill the position left open by Helena. The application process is open for anyone, and more information about how to apply for the position can be received by sending e-mail to taceresinger (at) gmail.com.

The band has also announced that despite of the vocalist situation, the recordings of their new (2nd) album will start at the end of May this year at Astia-Studio, Lappeenranta, Finland. The recording sessions will continue until late in the autumn in several different locations and the album will be produced by the band's front man Karri Knuuttila together with producer guru Anssi Kippo who is known for his groundbreaking work with bands such as Children of Bodom. The album will feature 12 new songs with massive orchestrations.
