As posted by Umbrello Media Entertainment's Steve Sikes-Nova, via a posting by Theo Travis at his MySpace site: "I have had the privilege of playing and recording with some amazing musicians including Palle Mikkelborg who guested on my 2001 CD Heart Of The Sun; Anja Garbarek (2001 album and tour); David Sylvian (Nine Horses CD); Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree CDs, No Man, Bass Communion); John Etheridge, Soft Machine Legacy; Richard Sinclair and Hatfield and the North; Dick Heckstall-Smith; Bill Bruford; Tony Coe; Pierre Moerlin, and the late Slim Gaillard. In 1999 I became a new member of Daevid Allen's Gong touring the USA, Europe, Japan, Scandinavia, and the UK and co-writing most of the group's album Zero To Infinity, released in Feb 2000. I subsequently produced their live album Live To Infinitea, released in October 2000 and to date have played over 120 dates with them all over the world.

I am also a member of the new Progressive band - the Tangent (thetangent.org) which is doing great things at the moment. My website is at http://www.theotravis.com and I do try and keep it up to date with gigs, recordings etc."

Steve Nardelli is putting together a pretty extraordinary - and rather large - touring company for Big Sky. This is getting pretty amazing...

And at Travis' site, this item: The new Theo Travis' Double Talk recording Ascending: Live At The Pizza (release date 12 April) will now be released as a Limited Edition Collector's Item - on CD.

Strictly limited to only 100 Copies of a Double CD. All individually numbered. All personally signed by all four members of the band. The 2 CD set will be cased in a stylish metal box with card insert.

Other than this very limited CD - which will instantly be the most collectable of any Theo's releases (overtaking the 300 Vinyl LP edition of Eleven Bowls of Acidophilus Flute Salad) - the album will otherwise be released as a Download - via Burning Shed.

The album is released on 12 April 2009 to coincide with the Double Talk UK tour. Recorded on 18 June 2008 at the Pizza Express, Dean St, London, W1, this release comprises the concert recorded live that hot summer night in the top Soho jazz club. The album was mixed by Roy Dodds and mastered by the legendary Denis Blackham of Skye Mastering. The track "See Emily Play" from the forthcoming release can now be previewed at myspace.com/theotravis.

The concert will be released both in FLAC and MP3 format via burningshed.com/store/theotravis. Featuring 87 minutes of music the track listing is representative of the band's set list during the 2007/2008 dates and is as follows -

1. Glad
2. Oblivionville
3. The Relegation Of Pluto
4. Pallendream
5. That Old Smile
6. Portobello 67
7. See Emily Play
8. And So It Seemed
9. The Apparent Chaos Of Night
10. All I Know
11. Sweet Emma

The line up comprises the regular Double Talk band of:
Theo Travis ? tenor and soprano saxes, alto flute, live loops
Mike Outram ? electric guitar
Pete Whitakker ? Hammond organ
Roy Dodds ? drums

To purchase one of the Collector's 2 CD Edition (?14 + P+P) simply go to the Ordering page on or after April 6. CDs will be sent out around April 11. Once the CDs have sold out, the "Buy " buttons on the ordering page will be removed.
