Topic: Band News (tours, comings/goings, etc)

"CalProg is pleased to present a very special tribute to the music of the band that influenced more lives than any other before or after... The Beatles.

"Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse, Paul Gilbert and Kasim Sulton (Utopia) join forces to become Yellow Matter Custard.

"Come join us in this musical celebration of life, love and rock and roll. The timeless melodies of Lennon and McCartney will remind you why they are widely considered to be the best tune-crafters of all time. This is a show that will appeal to your entire family, and what better way is there to spend a Friday night than singing along with a theater full of music lovers?

"This show will also debut our newest venue The Art Theater of Long Beach. This warm and friendly indie movie house seats a cozy 380 people. They serve what you'd normally expect from a movie theater, but they also serve beer and wine. And YES, you can take it into the theater! Tickets are only available here at CalProg.com (they are not available at the theater box office).

"Tickets are on sale now! $65 & $80"

Due to a scheduling conflict (and further fueling the "Paul is dead" rumours), original Yellow Matter Custard bassist Matt Bissonette is unable to join the band this time and will be replaced by Utopia legend Kasim Sulton.

Additional dates for their magical mystery tour are: February 27 in Chicago, IL (venue tba) and February 28 at B.B.. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City. The setlists for these shows will not repeat their 2003 shows.

Yellow Matter Custard in 2005 issued a live DVD entitled One Night In New York City. Recorded live at New York's B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on May 18, 2003, the set sees Yellow Matter Custard performing some well-known Beatles songs such as "Nowhere Man" and "Revolution", as well as more obscure tunes like "I Call Your Name," "Think For Yourself" and even a hilarious rendition of the "Let It Be" b-side "You Know My Name."
