New York progressive rock act Unified Past has signed with indie progressive rock label Melodic Revolution Records. Their new CD, Observations, is scheduled for a mid-July release. The band and label are a perfect fit for each other and both parties are excited about the up coming Unified Past release. The band has also released a video cover version of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's "From the Beginning" on Youtube, which is being met with positive feedback. Please visit the band at www.unifiedpast.com and visit Melodic Revolution Records at melodicrevolutionrecords.com for more information.

Unified Past is the progressive rock vision of guitarist, vocalist, & composer Stephen Speelman and drummer Victor Tassone. After a nine year absence from the music scene, Stephen revived Unified Past with original drummer and life long friend Victor Tassone. Arriving late to the project was original vocalist Steve Calovi, who none the less made it through the entire project. The result was their come back CD Tense, a twelve song collection of progressive influenced music. With that release, the band has gained momentum and a clear focus on their musical path. They have been working hard on the follow up, Observations, and are in the final stages of production. The band is hoping for a July 2011 release date. Observations will be an 11 song, 65 minute release featuring Stephen Speelman on lead vocals exclusively for the 1st time in the band's history. Unified Past welcomes any feedback you may have and encourages you to drop by and say hello
