Topic: Album Release News

Six years after publishing a collection of reinterpretations of famous rock and pop songs under the title Cover To Cover, multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer Neal Morse will release a second album of cover songs, Cover 2 Cover in May. Joining Neal once again during the CDs recording sessions were his longtime colleagues Mike Portnoy (drums; Dream Theater, Adrenaline Mob, Avenged Sevenfold, Flying Colors, Transatlantic) and Randy George (bass; Ajalon).

Morse is one of the leading figures in progressive rock, whose notoriety follows his co-founding of the seminal band, Spock's Beard in 1995, recordings as a solo artist, and contributions to the super-group Transatlantic.

Portnoy is one of the most popular and respected drummers in both metal and rock, and an accomplished writer and producer. He is the recipient of numerous industry accolades, including 26 Modern Drummer awards, Revolver magazine's Golden God award for "Best Drummer" and Drum magazine's "Drummer Of The Year." He rose to prominence as the leader, drummer, producer, and co-writer for metal/prog juggernaut Dream Theater, before moving on in 2010. That same year, he worked on Avenged Sevenfold's #1 album Nightmare and their subsequent tour.

Pre-sales of the album begin April 23. There are a couple of bundles on offer from Radiant Records: Cover 2 Cover BUNDLE #1 combines the latest cover album from Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy and Randy George, with the actual video footage shot during the album's recording session. The "Making Of" DVD from the Cover 2 Cover sessions will NOT be sold separately at this time, so be sure to not miss out on all the behind the scenes footage from Radiant Studios.

BUNDLE #2 includes also the first Cover To Cover CD.
