Knock on Musea's door, and have it open to reveal this choice of treats, starting with Mostly Autumn's The Ghost Moon Orchestra, released in July by the band as a 2CD set (the second CD a bonus disk containing acoustic performances) and out in August in general release as a single CD.

Mostly Autumn are a contemporary progressive rock band, working in a style strongly tinged by folk and Celtic music. For many years, lead vocalist Bryan Josh (lead and rhythm guitars, as well) saw himself intelligently supported by his female alter-ego Heather Findlay, while enjoying a perfect symbiosis between electrical instrumentation and ethnic contributions. For All We Shared was engraved on disc in 1998, a year before the publication of the The Spirit Of Autumn Past. The Last Bright Light (2000) suggests a little more affiliation with Pink Floyd.

Recorded in a very short time during the month of November 2001, Music Inspired By The Lord Of The Rings is not the true sequel as expected, but a respectful tribute to this timeless masterpiece of fantasy literature - The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien.

Their popularity growing, Mostly Autumn decide to rearrange and re-record most of their repertoire. They release Heroes Never Die - The Anthology, an album that can perfectly play as a work in its own right. Catch The Spirit - The Complete Anthology covers the band with a second bonus disc. And one can now experience the band in concert, a wonderful DVD comes to sublime realization, interspersed with short interviews of musicians. The Story So Far ... was released in 2001 by Classic Rock Legends.

Next came Passengers, and the final exam is passed with flying colors! The trademark Mostly Autumn sound is further refined to the point that is now difficult to recognize early influences. Note also the occasional participation of distinguished guests, the image of Troy Donockley (founding member of "Big Brother" Iona) on the bagpipes and Damian Wilson (Landmarq, Threshold, Ayreon ...) singing.

Here is undoubtedly one of the major events of the year 2003! At The Grand Opera House (2003) presents Mostly Autumn live at York, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley, a string quartet and a choir. The opportunity to revisit Passengers, the latest album, with a developed and unique visual. As a bonus, we find a cover of "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple and "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd.

Far from resting on its laurels, Mostly Autumn continues to strengthen its position on the current scene. Twelve months after the highly successful Heart Full Of Sky (2007), there is Glass Shadows. This majestic work continues on the path of emotional rock, taking advantage of the best elements of the musical heritage of the group, and by adding an assured maturity. Here is a remarkable collection of songs illustrating many styles and different textures between the titles more elaborate and pop song of three minutes. Without a doubt the best album of Mostly Autumn!

Captured during the tour, two volumes of Live 2009 present a "concertuel." What to do honor to the last album to date, much more than a decade of music. Beyond the provision of very high caliber, this is also the last recording of the singer Heather Findlay: a unique conclusion to the first life of Mostly Autumn.

The announcement of the departure of the latter was to fear the worst for the British formation: Mostly Autumn, would they lose their soul? The test of the first game post-Heather Findlay will undoubtedly crucial. The song "Go Well Diamond Heart" (from the album of the same name, released in 2010) can be interpreted as a thinly disguised homage to the singer, but also a message of welcome to her successor, Olivia Sparnenn. She feels right at home in the world of the group, delivering a vocal performance most convincing. Without revolutionizing the music of Mostly Autumn, "Go Well Diamond Heart" asserts itself as an excellent vintage, worthy of its predecessors.

And now in 2012, the band release The Ghost Moon Orchestra.

John Galgano - Real Life Is Meeting - John Galgano is a founding member of art-rock group Izz, and has been one of the band’s primary songwriters throughout its career. Real Life Is Meeting presents eight tracks varying in styles and instrumentation, from the catchy, art-pop flavor of "Bigger On The Inside," to the experimental, synth-based "The Only Thing," to the 19-minute piece "1000," all the while taking the listener in unexpected directions. Real Life Is Meeting showcases Galgano's humor, his introspective and confessional lyrics, and his surprising song structures. In turns breathtakingly adventurous and heartrendingly beautiful, this music represents a musician and songwriter unencumbered by any preconceived ideas. The result is a fluid, naked, and daring collection of universal musings set to music - meditations on what it means to be human in the 21st century.

Panzerballet - Tank Goodness - Panzerballett stands out with a stroke of genius: after releasing hit albums highly valued as Hart Genossen von ABBA bis Zappa or Starke Stücke, their fourth album Tank Goodness was released on 28 September. German media highly regarded as Die Welt, Arte or Goethe Institute show that the group has a sound undeniably special: the sound of Panzerballett is unique! Saxophone riffs frenzied guitar compete with quintuple grooves, metric modulations, overlaps and polyrhythmic improvisations combining master groove of the jazz and metal. When this unique group is transmitted on cover songs ("Time Of My Life," "Take Five," "Some Skunk Funk," "Giant Steps"), the leader and guitarist of Jan Zehrfeld known as the art of "Phatting." Although the five instrumental work musicians is a real precision, each member of the group is still able to take pictures of their songs. In "The Ikea Trauma," the Swedish musician called "IA" Aklundth sings to tearing through the eyes of a man who lived the nightmare of his life while shopping at Ikea. [Not sure if it's meant to be a funny song - but how could it not?... I'm just thinking he must have gotten lost in the maze that is Ikea -ed. and Ikea shopper]

Generally, the host of guest musicians on Tank Goodness is heavily loaded with famous names. Alongside the Conny Kreitmeier, the fabulous and world renowned trumpeter Randy Brecker Group honors its own jazz-rock-Millestone "Some Skunk Funk" they play together after 36 years. Pop songs such as "Time Of My Life "received the indelible mark of Panzerballett like "Take Five," the most popular Jazz Standard songs of all time. They merge into an album of eight tracks. Jan Zehrfeld explains the concept very simply: "We define a kind of label of a new genre - is Panzerballett precursor of 'headbanging;' in other words, how to break the head." Particularly attractive, this music is one thing you should not miss. Some words have been entrusted by the Jazz icon Randy Brecker, words that are decidedly sharp: "As far as I remember, the first group is Panzerballett which clearly control the music of the 21st century."

Rhys Marsh & The Autumn Ghost - The Blue Hour - Rhys Marsh, born in England, now living in Norway, is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. His "multi-national orchestra", The Autumn Ghost, features members of Jaga Jazzist, Anglagard and Anekdoten. The band's debut album, The Fragile State Of Inbetween, was released in the year 2008 to great acclaim. Our man is also the singer in The Opium Cartel, Ignore, Osaka and Unit. The second opus Dulcima (2009) tends to be much more Progressive rock-oriented, obviously in the scandinavian way. Let's mention the influences of David Sylvian and King Crimson, with a special nod to contemporary bands such as The Mars Volta or Muse. Not to be missed!

Taika - Pulsate - Taika was formed in 2008 and now performs around Tokyo. Members are: Tae (ex. Ashada) on vocal and accordion, Dani on bass (he is also a bassist of KBB), Zaiya Takahashi on piano and Tomoyoku Tanimoto on drums. On the tracks composed by Tae, delicate voice and sublime accordion sounding, and free & improvisational performances by other members illuminate their world. Their sound is both glittering and airy, inspired from images of flickering star and deep forest (lyrics represent these images). With somewhat tranquil and oriental mood, their music will give you unique impression that can't be got by other singer-bands.

Plus these releases: Sebkha-Chott - The Ne[xxx]t Epilog, Claude Tchamitchian Quartet - Ways Out, and H3B - Songs No Songs

And there's these new titles from Planetwork: Larry Coryell & Kenny Drew - Duality, James Brown - A Family Affair, Walking Papers - Walking Papers; and from Talking Elephant: Keith Christmas - Stimulus, The Groundhogs - Razor's Edge and Groundhog Night - Live, Sopwith Camel - Sopwith Camel, Colin Blunstone - I Don't Believe In Miracles, Chicken Shack - 100 Ton Chicken, Gentle Giant - Giant Steps... The First Five Years, The Sutherland Brothers & Quiver - Slipstream
