Steve Thorne is a songwriter coming from the south part of England. Emotional Creatures Part One is his first work and is released under the label owned by Martin Orford, GEP limited. In this album we can find a lot of guests such as Tony Levin or Nick D'Virgilio, plus members of IQ and Jadis.

Emotional Creatures is a big work in many parts and this is only the first one, the second one is yet to come.

Through the album Steve is able to play almost all the instruments and his music shows perfectly the background it comes from: it is a slighty prog rock with a lot of influences from folk and alternative, plus a voice that reminds me of Peter Gabriel from time to time.

Every song is very catchy and well structured, without ignoring some complex instrumental sections that let the listener become involved in this very good opus.

Anyway a very convincing first release by a talented and experienced author.
