Talisma - Corpus

Year of Release: 2003
Label: Unicorn Records
Catalog Number: UNCR-5009
Format: CD
Total Time: 40:59:00

Corpus is the first release from the Canadian based trio called Talisma. This is a completely instrumental album, except for some female choruses along the disc. The album is a mix of some Hackett-like instrumental pieces and various influences from other groups like Gordian Knot.

Corpus is a very varied work and has a lot of fusion in it without boring technical parts. Moreover, we can find out some other styles like neo-prog a la Flower Kings (the instrumental songs) to folk music.

The tracks are very short and the album is not very long, either. So I can say that this album is not too bad but to declare it is very good it's miles off.

To conclude, if you like instrumental music and some impromptu parts this Corpus is perfect for you. If not, you better skip it.
