UFO - Showtime

Total Time: 98:40:00

Showtime proves that UFO has weathered the storm over the years and it looks as though they will be around for a few more. The DVD and CD are great mementos to live performances in Germany taped in 2005. The double disc sets are well worth their price tag and provide a good overview of the band's career including tracks from the latest studio album You Are Here (2004).

I must say that UFO is really crackin' the whip again. With the addition of the new and younger blood, Jason Bonham (drums) and Vinnie Moore (guitar), they sound fresh and vital. They are rockin' hard and Phil Mogg sounds as good as ever.

The DVD is great. Besides the same performances that you get on the CD, there are studio sessions from You Are Here, interviews with all the band members, a slide show, the making of the show-everything that a fan wants to know about. I found the recounting of the band's beginnings by the elder statesmen of UFO very entertaining and interesting.

This is the whole package for the UFO fan and if you happen to enjoy rockin' the house down it serves the purpose as well. Both sets come highly recommended.
