Barker's Shop is an Italian prog metal band that is seeking a label and a distributor for its first album, Phoneiric.

Their music is a well played prog metal that shows the skills of every performer in the group. Their kind of sound is near to American prog metal acts like Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Queensryche and Rush, but it would be a mistake to think that this combo is another clone. You can find a lot of differences like Ivan Heart's voice that has an hard rock mark. And an influence of Deep Purple is notable in some keys solos in the vein of Jon Lord or some guitar phrases played in a Steve Morse manner.

Even if this is a self-produced album, the production is wonderful and it hasn't any low peaks during the work.

Maybe some parts of the disc are too technique-dependent, so sometimes the sound loses its good feeling.

But with this and a bigger budget, Barker's Shop could become a great band. So my suggestion is to sign up these guys!
