After only a year and a medium album like Recreation Day, Evergrey returns with a new release called Inner Circle, trying to give to the fans the same inspiration of In Search Of Truth.

The album is dark and negative like the music that often appears on Evergrey records, but this time it is more catchy than ever. Maybe this fact owes to trying to reach a wider audience, but a lot of factors that are the band's trademark remain, like the gothic-oriented vein of the music, the guitar layout, and the female vocals. But, this album basically adds only a few things to the previous albums, making this one enjoyable, but not a masterpiece.
