Here it is, the new album from the Italian band, Vision Divine and I have to admit immediately that it is almost a masterpiece. It is the best prog/power release I have listened to in these last few years.

Vision Divine is the band of Olaf Thorsen, ex- member of Labyrinth, and on this album the group introduces new singer Michele Luppi, a vocalist who has played with a lot of well known musicians (Ian Paice, Glenn Hughes, among others). His singing has a classic style with some astonishing high peaks.

The album contains a long, unique track in fourteen parts that speaks of a man and his doubts in the search for truth. He finds his salvation thanks to his conscience (his angel), without committing suicide, but becoming mad instead, owing to his having known too much for a human being

Also, the music isn't a simple power metal disc because it has a lot of progressive influences and a melodic vein in some pieces, some more atmospheric parts and melancholic ones, plus four instrumentals, that make this album very dynamic and challenging.

In my opinion, this is an excellent work and is surely recommended.
