The second album from Swedish group Paatos doesn't fit, and it can't be defined as straight prog rock. The music is a little bit different from the usual prog range. It is more similar to some post rock album, like Radiohead, or maybe I can say that it is more influenced by Portishead. It is very atmospheric and melancholic, it represent perfectly the evolution of some Swedish music. Perhaps, I can declare that it can be considered as the legacy of the great Scandinavian band Landberk, and it isn't a coincidence that some members of this astonishing combo of the Nineties are on this and the previous disc of Paatos.

The music is full of electronic sound and samples, filled with some sad layouts of mellotron and Hammond, while the guitar riffs are only a frame in the complete picture of this work.

So this Kallocain is a various moment in the catalogue of Inside Out and perhaps even only for this reason it is worth to be bought. But also because it is good!
