Every time I hear this kind of music, I say to myself-why is this guy screaming, sounding as if he is possessed by the devil. In the back of my mind, I know the dude can sing. Well, it's the style of the music, period. The most prevalent thing I have found in this genre is that the lead singers, who is Matt Gardner (guitar, vocals), actually can sing very well, which is no longer a big surprise.

Jujitsu has released a three track EP as a taster of what the potent power trio can offer. Chris Brank (drums) and Derek Levesque (bass) are the other two equations that make up Jujitsu juggernaut. Check out "Hermit," it is an outstanding rock track. If they recorded an entire album with music like that, I would love it. I can do without the screaming and death growls thank you very much. However, there is a lot more to this band besides their music.

There is a lot of meaning in this CD cover. It seems to indicate that our society, the state of the church, and the almighty dollar may have something in common. The dollar sign and cross are very symbolic and you could interpret many different meanings dependent on your beliefs and opinions. The poor lost soul on the cover of this CD seems to be on his last leg, being bleed for everything he has. Perhaps it is a message to the major labels.

I look forward to hearing some more from this interesting band and can hardly wait to see what the next CD cover will look like.
