Just look at those chiseled good looks of Jaye Foucher on the cover of her CD Contagious Grooves. Her striking good looks are a perfect match for her fire-branded six-string technical proficiency. She looks like a woman on a mission doesn't she? Picture Ma Barker with a guitar instead of a machine gun, now that's attitude. Do you think that the term guitar God was reserved for men named Clapton, Page and Hendrix? Wrong answer. There are plenty of women out there that are kicking up some dust and turning heads in the world of rock. You are not going to believe this CD when you hear it, it's utterly jaw dropping from beginning to end.

Foucher has been playing some rockin' mean ass guitar for quite some time now. She has worked with many rock bands (since 1986) to include on her resume of musical experiences. Striking out on her own seemed to be the logical thing to do after getting some good experience under her belt with some of the best in the business.

How can you miss with a song titled "Up Up & Insane?" Which is just a bit of schizophrenia, and some great music to boot. It's my favorite track on the CD. Actually every song was instrumental ecstasy for me. This isn't just rock mind you, it's a cornucopia of music styles. The fixation with the new breed of instrumental guitarists is their instinctive ability to stay alert and cover every kind of musical genre, thereby shaping and molding it into something all of their own making. Foucher is successful on her voyage to investigate and construct original music, and she does it with relative ease and meticulousness. There is never a break, mistake, or a missed note in this music, oh no. Musical perfection is the word of the day for Ms. Foucher. Music of this nature grows inside itself, and it will grow on you with each listen, I personally guarantee it.

Keep an eye on this one folks; critical acclaim is fast approaching this rising star.
