Kindle is Sandra Bazzarelli's five-song statement of vocal diversity. Backed by a highly potent blues-rock attack courtesy of Ed Littman's stinging guitar licks, she makes her way through each song with an individual confidence and uncommon cool. I remember Littman's two solo albums, which I covered in 2001 and recall him as being one prolific player. He continues to impress me and I think he is one of music's best-kept secrets.

After a few spins of this CD, I found this woman's music would 'kindle' and rekindle my spirit. Ready to rock your soul, Sandra's powerful pipes are alive and full of piss 'n vinegar.

For a quick five songs, I was certainly impressed with the energy and flow of the music. Bazzarelli will surely remind you of many woman rock singers that have come and gone, but I would rather not make any comparisons because she does sound like herself and is not trying to sound like anyone else (which many singers do consciously or subconsciously). I will let you listen and then you can come to your own conclusions.

The upshot is that this is great rock-blues music with a go-getting female vocalist putting every ounce of her energy right on the table face up for everyone to see. What more could you ask for? I do not think there is anything left when it comes to getting to the core of what music is all about. I will be interested to hear a full-length release from this artist.
