Reviewed by: Davide Guidone, April 2004 A new album has come from the mind of the Italian group Malibran. This time I have in my hands a collection of rare tracks, both previously unreleased pieces and live ones. To those that have never listened to Malibran’s music, it can be defined as classical neo-prog, with lots of influences from the past and a clear melodic nature. This work has many surprises within: there is the title track taken from the Finnish compilation Kalevala, for example; the last song written by the group. To mention other tracks, there are the covers of some classics, like "Boureé" from Jethro Tull, "Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers" by Stevie Wonder, and Camel’s "Rahyader," that let us understand, more or less, what are some of derivations of the band. Indeed a good album and, every neo-prog fan would like it.
