Alex Masi, known as a great guitarist in the metal scene, continues his path in classical music. In fact, after producing the work about Bach (In The Name Of Bach, 2001), this time he takes on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

If you are a neoclassical metal fan, as in Yngwie Malmsteen, or Vitalij Kuprij for the keyboards, you won’t expect the kind of music you'll find here. Alex Masi translates the piano sheets by Mozart into a classical work for semi-acoustic guitar and bass only. In some cases he is supported by the Stuttgart Philarmonic Orchestra. The sound is very clear and shows the Masi's great skills. So it is very enjoyable and relaxing. But it doesn’t add anything new to Mozart's style: That’s the main problem!

Rating: 2.5/5
