NEARFEST 2007, ZOELLNER ARTS CENTER, BETHLEHEM, PA, JUNE 23 - 24, 2007

One Shot | Secret Oyster | Allan Holdsworth || IZZ | NeBeLNeST | Magenta | Hawkwind || Indukti | La Maschera Di Cera | Robert Rich | Pure Reason Revolution | Magma | Back To Main Gallery

These are just some additional shots I took that help tell the "story" of NEARFest 2007:

Chad and production manager Kevin Feeley (I think)
, announcing that they'll be announcing a special
opportunity for one lucky attendee

Here Feeley with the help of Gentle Giant members Gary Green
and ? (erm, didn't catch the name...) make that announcement of a free seat
upgrade to a lucky attendee... someone in the balcony...

On Friday night, in between the artists, the house was not cleared...
and in playing with camera settings, I captured the "hustle and bustle"
of a set change. Incidentally, the camera used for all shots
taken is an Olympus UZ550, their new model with an 18x zoom!
Some noise at 800 ISO, which I used mostly, though for Hawkwind, I had to up
it to 1600 ISO (and thus more noise). But w/image stablization and the
greater ISO, well I'm quite happy with the shots I've shared here
(that is, the entire overview, not just the pics on this page;
and if you came here first, the other pics are better)

set change before Bob Drake's spotlight set on Saturday

Just what's with Bob's tail?
I never did learn, but perhaps I missed something during his set,
something in one of the songs that would have made it clear...?

Rolling out Robert Rich's rig before his Sunday spotlight set
(ooh, double alliteration!)

for his home team
