The voice of Joe Newman together with the arrangements make sure you have to take the name of Genesis into consideration. A high pitched Gabriel-clone together with music from the Duke and Wind And Wuthering era. Power is almost like an album made to illustrate how Genesis would have sounded had Gabriel stayed with the band, yet it concerns a completely different set of guys here! There are plenty of interesting changes on this album, yet I wouldn't want to call it a highlight because the result is not pure enough, whilst the compositions find themselves too far from the word "surprising." A special mention, however, for the guitar instrumental "Meltdown" by Dave Johnson!
