The Swedish keyboard wizard Pär Lindh has performed at many festivals over the year, both as a solo artist and with his band the Pär Lindh Project. All over the world people have been overwhelmed with the sheer genius this band has to offer. The combination of a classically trained keyboard player and a death metal band obviously results in a not so logical piece of music. That's why his latest studio effort Mundus Incompertus surely became a true work of art, a masterpiece of worldly proportion. So Pär thought the time was ripe to release a double album under the ingenious title of Live In America because he thought the world should also hear the "older" material being performed by this wildly bunch!

Of course you'll witness material from Mundus Incompertus and the debut Gothic Impressions but you can also expect a medley from the Bilbo album and a couple of surprises. You get some of Pär's favourites such as the Dave Brubeck classic "Rondo;" "Jerusalem," as made immortal by ELP; the piano solo "Allegro Barbaro" written by Bela Bartok, and a raving version of King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man" sung here by drummer Nisse "Animal" Bielfeld.

In the person of singer/violinist Magdalena Hagberg the band has also found a pleasant appearance who acts on a polyvalent level. That's where the already well known material gains maturity whilst it becomes clear that every visitor to Pär's shows should get all of the man's material at once. Once you have had the pleasure to witness the original, gothic music of the Pär Lindh Project you will no longer be able to live without these great sounds. The band will be performing at this year's NEARfest 2000 (visit http://www.nearfest.com for more information).
