Reviewed by: Davide Guidone, July 2004 Tempus Fugit finally releases the second album from Ritual and gives it a wider distribution, because when it came out, Superb Birth was published only in Sweden. The first thing you notice is that this sophomore release is very close to the previous one, and has so few differences that you could get confused trying distinguishing the two. The trademarks of the band are the same than before: a guitar oriented sound, some influences by Yes (more so than on the previous album), and a folk addiction. Maybe this time the songs are more direct and easy to listen to, the quality of the songwriting is still high, but it represents a sort of review of the first eponymous opus. One thing I noticed in a second is that the tracklisting is different from the original print. How come? I don’t really know. Instead there aren’t any previously unreleased tracks. However, whomever liked the first Ritual, surely will appreciate this one. I give you my word.
