As posted to E-Prog by Robert of Rock N Roll Cola from the band's release, "[Lion's Share's latest album] Emotional Coma is now out in all planned territories. The release dates got a bit spread out (Europe - June 2007, Asia - November 2007, North America - January 2008, Russia - February 2008, South America - March 2008), but now we will focus 100% on recording the follow-up apart from some live shows we're doing in Europe during May. If everything goes as planned, we will mix the album end of June and release it in October.

"The reactions [to] Emotional Coma were so overwhelming that we feel very confident to continue developing this style and direction on the next album. The sick life of Charles Manson is the foundation of the album lyric wise, but also deals with other happenings from that era. Many revolting and strange things happened in the shadow of the Cold War and the Vietnam War in the late '60s. Music-wise, the new songs are a bit more 'direct' and 'catchy' but still very 'metal.' The new songs are simply awesome and we are absolutely sure this will be our best album to date.

[Probably coincidence that Manson is making US (world?) headlines this week with the suspected discovery of more bodies at some desert location he and his group had. -ed.]

"So stick around for updates about the progression of the album and look out for upcoming shows. We intend to perform one or two new songs at our gigs in May. See you all!"

Emotional Coma was released in the U.S. via Locomotive Music. The CD was issued by AFM Records in Europe and Spiritual Beast in Japan/Asia and features guest solos from ex-KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick, and ex-Megadeth guitarist Glen Drover.
