Isildurs Bane write in their monthly newsletter: "We are happy to announce that the debut album Bright Gold And Red from IB members Fredrik "Gicken" Johansson and Linnea Olsson is just about to be released. "Gicken" and Linnea are two thirds of the band Paintbox (the third man is drummer Magnus Helgesson) and judging from the reactions at IB Expo, when an augmented version of Paintbox performed a couple of songs, the reception of the album will be warm and enthusiastic.

Paintbox was founded a couple of years ago when Linnea and "Gicken" started writing together. Bright Gold And Red consists of eleven songs written by Fredrik "Gicken" Johansson and Linnea Olsson. The songs were arranged and produced by Paintbox.

The recording process has been characterized by collective creativity, curiosity and experiments all abiding one rule only: "There are no rules." The band members all share a lack of prestige, which makes for a warm and natural environment for each and every single idea that came up and flowered into a finished composition.

Bright Gold And Red is released on the band's own Wild Chance label. A release party was held on Friday, December 5 at Melker's, Storgatan in Halmstad.
