Brave and Phideaux Bring Eclectic Rock Music to Vienna, VA. The Society of Art Rock (SOAR) extends their Art Rock Concert Series into its third year with a show at Jammin Java in Vienna on Saturday August 11, 2007 featuring two bands: Brave and Phideaux. Tickets are only $10 and the show will begin at 7:00 PM. (Note the early show time!)
Brave (http://www.bravemusic.com/) is one of Northern Virginia's most popular progressive rock bands. A six piece (vocals/keyboards, two guitars, bass, drums and violin), they have released six CDs, three in a previous incarnation of the band called Arise From Thorns. Fans of Evanescence, Rush or Tori Amos should enjoy Brave. Come out and hear all of the new songs from the upcoming Brave release Monuments!!
Phideaux (http://www.bloodfish.com), a loose anarchistic troupe of musicians including songwriter Phideaux Xavier, drummer Rich Hutchins, and a revolving cast of friends, create psychedelic progressive rock music laden with memorable melodies and quirky instrumentation. This is one of only two live shows Phideaux will be playing in August to support the release of their new CD Doomsday Afternoon, the second show being at Festival Crescendo at Esplanade du Conci? in Saint-Palais-sur-mer, France.
This all-ages event will be held at:
