Posted on Sunday, February 01 @ 21:00:00 UTC by nightowl

Nikki Squire and Nigel McLaren, Esquire, have returned to the studio to begin working on the follow-up to their two highly acclaimed albums, the duo reports.

The previous releases from Esquire include the self-titled debut on Geffen Records, which featured the singles "To The Rescue," "Sunshine," and "Moving Together." The debut album was written, produced and arranged in its entirety by Nikki and Nigel. Chris Squire, bass guitarist and vocalist with Yes, Nikki?s ex-husband, and Trevor Horn lent their expertise on elements of mixing, particularly on the single "To The Rescue." Chris Squire and the band mixed the album together. The second release was titled Coming Home.

Several new tracks from the current but still developing project from Esquire are available to preview now on their Myspace page, which can be found at www.myspace.com/esquireband. In addition, several pre-release tracks are available in the Shopping Cart for purchase through Paypal. "Tonight" and "She Said" both feature the vocal talent of Nikki Squire with Robbie Blunt on guitar, while "Stay Low" is embellished with piano and keyboards from Lisa LaRue. "Stay Low" also features backing vocals from Master Cassian Munro.
