Cuneiform Records has seven new releases for the September/October period, beginning with Chrome Hoof - Chrome Black Gold - "Chrome Hoof serve up their sonic gumbo with a truly theatrical flair evoking the spectacles of Devo, Gong, Parliament/Funkadelic, Hawkwind, and Sun Ra, transporting their audiences on a Trip Into the Beyond. The result is a one-of-a-kind, hugely entertaining, nitro-pop, electro-metal, synth-pop, sci-fi, space-disco, psyche-Dalek spectacle!"

The Claudia Quintet - September - Led by composer, drummer and three-time Grammy nominee John Hollenbeck, The Claudia Quintet have quietly but firmly and definitively recast jazz into shimmering new shapes inflected by classical minimalism, new music, progressive rock and post-rock. They are one of the most influential stylists on other musicians in cutting-edge jazz today.

Miriodor - Cobra Fakir - Over a nearly 35 year-long career, Miriodor have continuously produced music that is intricate, melodic, challenging and filled with both humour and fire. Cobra Fakir is the group's eighth studio album and, like all their releases, is a captivating new-music gem filled with great musicianship, terrific tunes and a distinctive and personal sound.

Pixel - We Are All Small Pixels - Pixel delivers a exuberant second album that makes a mighty statement, further refining its fervently creative vision with We Are All Small Pixels, a jazz meets indie manifesto that translates ancient spiritual insight into the digital age. The group stands at the forefront of a rising generation of jazz players who are remaking jazz in their own image.

Tatvamasi - Parts Of The Entirety - Born out of cataclysm and nurtured in silence and solitude, the music of Tatvamasi reveals hidden depths of the Polish soul. Tatvamasi plays scorching, uncategorizable music defined by searing tenor sax riffs, cutting electric guitar, and a loose and sinewy rhythm section of electric bass and drums. With Parts Of The Entirety, Tatvamasi opens up new territory, bringing the narrative heft of jazz to the sturdy forms of folk music.

Robert Wyatt - '68 - In September, 1968, the Soft Machine had just finished their second, exhaustive tour of the USA supporting the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Post-tour, Robert Wyatt stayed, working on recordings in Hollywood and New York City. Upon Robert's return to England, these documents lay forgotten... Now, for the first time, all four of the recordings Robert made in '68 are collected together and released, all in the best possible sound quality!

Zevious - Passing Through The Wall - According to Zevious, the goal on Passing Through The Wall is to induce a trance-like state in the listener through repetition, non-conventional melody and challenging song structure. The compositions are based around large cycles of layered poly-rhythmic patterns against octave displaced melodies; the individual parts working together to create dense, pulsating textures. It's a hypnotizing blend of intricate, locked-in interaction and energy.
