CD/DVD Releases: Steven Wilson To Release New Single "Happiness III / Space Oddity" On 14th October
Speaking of Steven Wilson - or at least, following on from a reference to Steven Wilson in our King Crimson news item below (and in our John Wesley item even further below) - it was announced late last month that Mr. Wilson would release a new single entitled "Happiness III / Space Oddity" - "'Happiness III' is a 7" single taken from Steven Wilson’s recent 4 1/2 album. The A-side features an edit of the track, while the B-side is a touching cover of David Bowie's classic 'Space Oddity' recorded live at the Hammersmith Apollo on 27th January 2016, performed as a duet by Steven and guest vocalist Ninet Tayeb as a tribute to the great man."
Further, the KScope news item states, "[w]hile the edit is exclusive to the 7"single, the full album version of 'Happiness III' has also been added to the forthcoming CD reissue of Transience, a compilation of SW’s more accessible song based material due to be released on 16th September on Kscope."
Steven Wilson will play shows in Taiwan, India, Australia, New Zealand and North America this autumn - as we learned, opening for some of the US dates is John Wesley.
