Concerts: Asia To Play 3 Live Shows In April
As learned from the Louder Sound :: Prog site/posting, Asia will be playing at the Trading Boundaries venue in Sussex on April 10, 11 and 12. These shows will feature the group's first three albums, one each evening.
One night one, April 10, it will be the band's debut, self-titled album Asia. (And yes, "Heat Of The Moment" is now playing in my head). For April 11's show, it's Alpha and for April 12's show, Astra, which is celebrating its 40th Anniversary. (40th!!) Though Asia isn't much older at 43... (and it's been just over 10 years since their last album, Gravitas was released.)
Anyway, Asia now is comprised of Geoff Downes (keyboards), John Mitchell (guitar), Virgil Donati (drums/percussion) and Harry Whitley (vocals).
Other dates on their itinerary are: Billboard Live Osaka on April 15 and 16; Billboard Live Tokyo on April 17 and 18; and at the Frontiers Rock Festival VII on April 25 at the Live Music Club in Trezzo Sull'adda (MI), Italy.
