CD/DVD Releases: Dirk Serries News For January 2012
Dirk Serries writes in his January newsletter: "The new year has been set in motion, we hope the transition into 2012 has been smooth for all. Over course the first of January we re-organized our creative process for this year focusing on the final Fear Falls Burning album and its related and rather unexpected live performance. Next in line is the long-awaited The Sleep Of Reason trilogy on which we hope to share more confirmed news in our next newsletter.
"Fear Falls Burning - Disorder Of Roots -- one-off/exclusive concert Saturday June 2nd 2012
"It's with enormous pride and excitement that Fear Falls Burning will return to the concert stage with a final and definite sonic assault, promoting the last studio album Disorder Of Roots. Instead of going for a larger scaled 'rock' concert, we specifically chose for the perfect balance between acoustic, electrified, intimate and overpowering. Renowned jazz club Paradox (our safe haven for executing the creative vision, hence the 5 previously succesful concerts) in Tilburg, The Netherlands will be the ritual place for performing Fear Falls Burning's Disorder Of Roots. Intimate, as it allows maximum 175 visitors, Paradox has excellent acoustics for the both the intimate, refined, the overpowering and intense. Never before and again will you be witnessed to a Fear Falls Burning deluxe performance from the front row. Paradox's comfortable accomodation delivers not only the perfect setting for the listener but also grants the musicians to stand closer to each other and the audience and work with sound on much more refined and almost subliminal level.
"Fear Falls Burning will be suppported on stage by Tim Bertilsson (drums - from the Swedish band Switchblade and his work on Frenzy Of The Absolute), Frank Kimenai (electric bass - from the Dutch band Anaphylactic Shock and The Spades) and Michiel Eikenaar (vocals - from the Dutch band Nihill, Anaphylactic Shock and Dodecahedron), who are also main collaborators on his forthcoming album.
