Posted yesterday by WIBW.com (Topeka, KS CBS-TV affliate): "A big move for musician Kerry Livgren as he recovers from a stroke. His nephew says he's been moved out of intensive care. The co-founder of the group Kansas suffered a stroke Tuesday.

"His nephew, Jake, says Kerry Livgren began working with a speech therapist. He says the family is grateful for all the support.

"'Everyone in the Livgren family appreciates how much this city, state, (and world, for that matter) have shown their heartfelt concern for Kerry and our family,' Jake Livgren said in a statement. 'He has been a musical influence and spiritual leader to countless people in his lifetime, including myself, and we all pray to our Lord Jesus Christ that he remains to be these things for decades to come. The most powerful thing that those who care for him can do is pray. Although I know he would appreciate everyone visiting him if he were well, the doctors and his family ask that no one but immediate family attempt to see him at this time. Above all he needs rest and stability right now. Thank you all for everything and keep praying because its working. God Bless.'"

We at Progressiveworld.net wish Kerry nothing but the best in his recovery. And we'll post updates as we find them.

[But, here's the... weird ... thing about this for me. In my (Steph, editor) efforts to move all the content from the "old" site to the "new," I was working on the letter "L"... and, during this past week, perhaps even exactly on Tuesday, I was gathering updated info for our review of Kerry's Best Of... release. I was still finishing this up on Thu and still right now a tab is open to his entry at allmusic.com.]
