Transatlantic went into the Dutch album-charts on position 40 with the recent epic The Whirlwind. In Sweden this album charted at 59 and in Germany The Whirlwind entered the album charts on Position 45.

Shortly after Kansas have returned to the US from their German tour, they will release the Native Window CD in Europe [released date, November 16]. Native Window are: David Ragsdale, Phil Ehart, Richard Williams and Billy Greer. All of them full members of Kansas who recorded this fine album under the name of Native Window together.

Speaking of Kansas, Kansas, America's greatest and most successful progressive rock band, will soon release the DVD There Is Know Place Like Home to celebrate 35 years of Kansas music. The concert on the DVD features Kansas with the Washburn University Orchestra from Topeka (Kansas) and was recorded in February 2009. Special guests during this concert were the former Kansas members Kerry Livgren and Steve Morse. The DVD spans from early songs like "Belexes" to many of the classic Kansas tracks like "Point Of Know Return," "Icarus," "Miracles Out Of Nowhere" and "Song For America," up to their big US radio hits "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust In The Wind."

There Is Know Place Like Home will be available in three formats: as DVD with the full concert and a jam session as bonus track, as Double-Audio-CD with the full concert and the jam session. The third format is a Deluxe Edition which features DVD and Double-Audio-CD together in a special packaging.

Shadow Gallery, widely considered a major and innovative force within the realms of progressive rock and metal, have returned with their 6th studio effort Digital Ghosts. Following up 2005's "Room V", "Digital Ghosts" will be released on October 26th, 2009 in Europe and November 3rd, 2009 in North America via InsideOutMusic.

After the tragic passing of lead singer Mike Baker in October 2008, Digital Ghosts introduces new lead singer Brian Ashland and not only sees the entire band once again sharing additional vocal duties but also features guest vocal appearances by Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear) and Clay Barton (Suspyre) to compliment the release. With Digital Ghosts, Shadow Gallery's members Brendt Allman, Carl Cadden-James, Gary Wehrkamp, new addition Brian Ashland and returning drummer Joe Nevolo (who appears on two songs of the record) have focused their powerful energies on creating a seamless blend of progressive, metal, and symphonic rock as a transcendent work of musical art that advances the boundaries of these genres into new directions.

A Limited Edition of Digital Ghosts will be released in Digipak and with four bonus tracks, two of them with the deceased former Shadow Gallery singer Mike Baker.

Rikard Sj?blom (Beardfish) has released a new solo album under the name Gungfly. The album is titled Please Be Quiet and available from the webshop at www.insideoutshop.de.

Finally, Pain Of Salvation released a new EP on November 16, due out November 24 in the US, entitled Linoleum. It contains the following tracks: "Linoleum," "Mortar Grind," "If You Wait," "Gone," "Bonus Track B," and "Yellow Raven."

The band will be on tour in Russia and Australia, supporting Dream Theater, next week starting November 27. Dates run through December 12.
